Solidarity – Dijon FCO will pay 20,000 euros to amateur football

Since spring 2020, French amateur football has been hit hard by the COVID crisis. Solidarity is being organized, with great actions initiated by several professional clubs. Fans of the Côte d’Or (21) have not been forgotten by the Dijon FCO. Indeed, the club relegated to Ligue 2 organized last week an auction of football shirts.

More than 13,000 euros were collected thanks to donations of shirts from Ligue 1 clubs and former players. These include Julio Tavares, Romain Amalfitano, Bobby Allain, Alex Runarsson, Johan Gastien, and Chang-Hoon Kwon.

The president of Dijon Olivier Delcourt took the initiative to supplement this amount to donate 20,000 euros to amateur clubs of Côte-d’Or so that the department’s football schools can benefit from the purchase of new equipment. A great solidarity action!
