Career journey Bambang Brodjonegoro quite interesting to follow. After serving as minister several times, Bambang is now selling well to fill commissioner positions in various companies.
Unmitigated, the former Minister of Research and Technology is now serving as a commissioner in six companies at once. He was offered the commissioner position after he was no longer serving as a minister of President Joko Widodo (Jokowi).
Most recently, Bambang was appointed as an Independent Commissioner at PT Indofood Sukses Makmur Tbk (INDF). This was decided at the company’s Annual General Meeting of Shareholders (AGM) and Extraordinary General Meeting of Shareholders (EGMS).
Previously, Bambang had also been appointed as President Commissioner of PT Oligo Infrastructure Indonesia. It is known, Oligo Infrastructure is an investment company in the infrastructure sector.
Having served as Minister of National Development Planning/Bappenas, Bambang is considered the best and most appropriate person to be the leader of the board of commissioners for Oligo Infrastructure.
Just before becoming President Commissioner at Oligo Infrastructure Indonesia, Bambang Brodjonegoro was also appointed as an independent commissioner at TBS Energi Utama. The company was previously known as PT Toba Bara Sejahtera Tbk, which is partly owned by the Coordinating Minister for Maritime Affairs and Investment Luhut Binsar Pandjaitan.
Furthermore, Bambang Brodjonegoro was also trusted to become an Independent Commissioner of PT Astra International Tbk. The appointment was decided at the 2021 Extraordinary General Meeting of Shareholders (EGMS) held by the company on June 17, 2021.
In addition to private companies, Bambang Brodjonegoro is also a commissioner in BUMN. Bambang was appointed by SOE Minister Erick Thohir to serve as President Commissioner (Komut) of PT Telkom Indonesia (Persero).
Erick Thohir said that Bambang Brodjonegoro’s experience in economics and technology was the main reason behind his appointment as Telkom’s main commissioner. With Erick’s experience, Telkom is faster in digitizing so that it can compete globally.
Lastly, Bambang also serves as President Commissioner of PT Bukalapak.com Tbk (BUKA). Bukalapak is one of the Indonesian unicorns that recently conducted an initial public offering (IPO) on the Indonesia Stock Exchange.
