The No. 1 in photovoltaic investments also occupies first place among the German representatives in the ranking of the fastest-growing companies in Europe.

For the eighth time, the Financial Times and Statista have examined 1,000 European companies in terms of their growth. Solar Direktinvest was able to assert itself as the best German company in the survey with growth of 385% in the period 2019 to 2022. The Nuremberg company made it to an impressive 4th place – and was therefore not only the best-placed German company in the ranking, but also first in the European energy and utilities industry (category: Energy & Utilities).
Renewable energy – the growth driver to become the multi-award-winning industry leader
Germany is the largest producer of photovoltaics in Europe. Solar Direktinvest GmbH’s activities make a significant contribution to this success story. It is not for nothing that the company has secured the number 1 position in this industry within Europe for brokering solar systems. The award is proof of this. Solar Direktinvest had already landed in first place among the German growth champions 2024 in the energy and utilities sector. In the all-German comparison by FOCUS Business among 500 participants, the people from Nuremberg were in second place, just behind the global player BioNTech.
Solar direct investment – the success story begins with a lone fighter
When Andreas Köhler started as a sole proprietor in 2016, he had ambitious goals. Today it can look forward to its top position with a growth rate of over 385% since 2019. Sales in 2019 were €247,390, but by 2022 they had grown to an impressive €28,290,148. The number of employees increased accordingly to over 60 in 2024. The group of companies added “Milk the Sun”, the world’s No. 1 marketplace for commercial photovoltaic systems. This meant that mediation was globalized.
The award of the FT 1000 as a milestone
If a company occupies a top spot among 1,000 competitors, like Solar Direktinvest GmbH, then it wants to move forward. The goals for 2024 are correspondingly ambitious. The company doesn’t just want to be first among its German competitors. A positive aspect of this global approach is the increased expansion of photovoltaics and thus a further reduction in CO2. The basis for the next milestone is to multiply the 36,000 tons that could be saved in 2023.
