VIVA – Sun will start entering a new weather cycle over the next nine months. Scientists have confirmed this and it will likely look something like 2008 to 2019.
“We are excited to announce that the 25th solar cycle has officially begun,” said Lisa Upton, president of Pandel’s Solar Cycle Prediction and solar physicist at the Space Systems Research Corporation. Room, Thursday, September 17, 2020.
According to him, the phase of the 25th solar cycle will reach its peak in 2025. However, it seems that this phase will be slightly less active. Even so, Upton reminds us to stay aware of the solar cycle this time.
He said there will be a number of flashes of lightning in the sun as happened in 2012 or several years before the peak phase. This 25th solar cycle will most likely be the same as its predecessor, the solar storm.
“This 25th cycle becomes like the 24th cycle when it comes to sunspots. This 24th cycle produces hundreds of types of solar storms even though they do not reach Earth, ”he said.
Even if the sun’s activity is low enough, its effect on the Earth will still be felt by humans. The lack of solar activity will ultimately have an impact on space waste. More active cycles can actually burn debris around Earth’s orbit.
“Unfortunately, our little solar cycle can’t clean up the debris that is normally cleared up by the big solar cycle,” said Upton.
The 25th solar cycle will also continue to be observed and predicted by scientists. This monitoring is important for astronauts working on space missions to protect themselves from Earth’s magnetic field.
Previously, it was rumored that the Sun might have a long-lost twin. This idea was invented by researchers who claim that the twin may have left orbit thousands of years ago.
