From 24 to 31 October 2021, the owner of Sofiamed Dr. Mihail Tikov was abroad and therefore could not host any political meetings as he was not in the country. He is not involved in politics and is surprised that his name is implicated in such a context. This was stated by the press center of the health institution.
Their statement was on the occasion of the information that appeared earlier about a secret meeting of leading factors of GERB and MRF, which took place a few days ago in the resort “Tsigov Chark”. The aim of the talks was a future coalition between the two parties. We remind you that this statement was made at a press conference by Interior Minister Boyko Rashkov.
According to him, the meeting was held in the house of a “famous doctor, owner of a private hospital”, where representatives of the MRF and GERB were publicly vaccinated, apparently pointing to the owner of Sofiamed, Mihail Tikov.

From Sofiamed they also deny that Tikov owns private property on the territory of the Tsigov Chark resort. A company related to Dr. Tikov has a hotel complex specializing in conference tourism on the territory of Batak Dam. In this hotel and in the other hotels, part of the group, many events and organized events of all kinds are held.
Exported information probably is the result of misleading and is incorrect, admitted by the health institution.
After the end of the press conference, dedicated in the first place to the abuses of the construction of Hemus Motorway, Rashkov was asked a number of questions related to the Tsigov Chark case. An answer to them, respectively additional details were not given. The reason – the erupting cacophony in the press conference hall, caused by a scandal-ridden dialogue between an author of a Facebook channel posing as a journalist and the minister. In the end, the “colleague” also failed to get an answer to his questions, and the result was only the departure of Boyko Rashkov.
