Freiburg (dpa / lsw) – Bundesliga soccer club SC Freiburg has the opportunity in the DFB Cup to make it into the semifinals for the first time since 2013. Since the top clubs FC Bayern and Borussia Dortmund have already been eliminated, the Breisgauer are among the favourites. Before the quarter-finals on Wednesday evening at VfL Bochum (8.45 p.m. / Sky, ARD), coach Christian Streich is keeping his goal covered. But he sees the possibility of achieving “something extraordinary”. As coach of the U19s, Streich has already won the youth trophy three times.
