Freiburg (AP) – The general rehearsal of SC Freiburg was a success. A week before the first competitive game in the DFB Cup at third division club SV Waldhof Mannheim (September 13th), the Bundesliga club won 4-1 (3-0) against Polish first division club Gornik Zabrze on Sunday.

In the non-public test in the Black Forest Stadium, Wooyeong Jeong scored a double (15th, 26th minute). The South Korean was in the starting line-up for Lucas Höler (calf problems) at short notice. Christian Günter (29th) scored the 3-0, the fourth goal from Freiburg was scored by record goalscorer Nils Petersen (51st). The Poles, who have already started the season and are leaders of the Ekstraklasa after two matchdays, only scored a consolation goal thanks to substitute Piotr Krawczyk (71st).

In a second test match immediately afterwards, the sports club and a team of professionals and U23 players then separated 1: 1 (0: 1) from the second division club SV Sandhausen. After an early deficit by Kevin Behrens (8th), new signing Ermedin Demirovic (76th) met to equalize.
