On 9 October last year, a Mercedes S500 car, driven by Russian television journalist Ksenia Sobchak, was involved in an accident. The car entered the oncoming lane and collided head-on with another vehicle.
Volkswagen, hit by a car with a TV presenter, collided with a minibus. As a result of the accident, 35-year-old Ekaterina Tarasova, who was sitting in the passenger seat, died. She died instantly. The woman remained with a minor child.
A year after the sad accident, Sobchak decided to honor the memory of the deceased passenger. In one of his channels he Telegram writes:
“One year after the Sochi accident. Thank you for being alive. It is a great disgrace that Ekaterina is dead. May God grant that all of us – those who subsequently survived this accident – will not have such a test in our lives,” she he wrote.
A couple of days ago, the driver who drove the Mercedes S500 that day was sentenced. At the last court hearing, Oleg Coj was sentenced to two years in prison. In addition, he was banned from driving any vehicle for three years.
