The mugwort plant is often found in the Netherlands on wasteland along roads. The peak period starts from next weekend and will continue until August 11. Fortunately, it does not last long: around the end of August the mugwort pollen season is over.
Grass pollen
The start of the mugwort season roughly coincides with the end of the grass pollen season. This has been less difficult than usual this year, probably due to the dry spring.

Although the grass pollen season is almost over, the pollen can still cause a lot of hay fever complaints in certain weather conditions. In particular, the combination of the rain of the past few weeks and the dry weather of the next few days may still cause hay-foot sufferers.
Not over yet
Anyone who thinks it is all over with the sniffling afterwards will be disappointed. From mid-August, ragweed can also cause serious complaints.
The pollen concentration has remained low so far, because the plant will only grow when the days get shorter and the temperatures are high. However, hay fever patients can already get serious complaints with a small amount of ragweed pollen in the air.
