Following the derailment of a works train this Sunday, November 26, the SNCF carried out an inventory of the damage caused at the Toulouse-Matabiau station and above all estimated an end date for the disruptions: it will not be before December 5.
The rehabilitation of the structures of the Toulouse-Matabiau station will be heavier than expected. Indeed, following the derailment of a work trainthis Sunday, November 26, damage has been caused on SNCF network equipment, at station level, requiring intervention by maintenance services. When leaving its track, the train hit an electrical pole and damaged the rails, switches and catenaries. A construction site which will disrupt rail traffic on all regional lines passing through the Pink City. “In order not to completely interrupt traffic, we are diverting trains onto other routes to the detriment of certain other lines,” explains the SNCF.
Traffic adapted for a week
Thus, train circulation is adapted throughout Toulouse, and in particular on the Toulouse-Montauban line served by TGV and main lines. A situation which should last until December 4 inclusive, informs the SNCF:
