Snapdragon 898 Receive Geekbench Score

Jakarta, Selular.ID – All eyes are on Qualcomm’s next flagship chipset, the Snapdragon 898 (SM8450), which will support many premium devices to come. It has been confirmed that the chipset will be manufactured using Samsung’s 4nm process and will have a 20% performance boost. Well, to corroborate the previous claim, we now have the first Geekbench score and it runs on a close flagship from Vivo with the model name, Vivo V2102A.

With a score of 720 for single-core and 1919 for multi-core, the Snapdragon 898 seems to be at the top in this fierce competition. If we use the Geekbench benchmark for multi-core, the Snapdragon 898 will have a comfortable win over the others. Among other specs are dual Part 3400 architecture, and Adreno 730 GPU. However, the current run-point version is the same as the original SM8350.

In addition, the Snapdragon 898 chipset has a total of 8 cores, and for now, the main frequency seems to be only 1.78Ghz, the famous Digital Chat Station leaker hopes that these numbers will definitely increase as soon as mass production begins. And with this radical improvement, it is expected that power consumption will also be on the higher side.

As previously noted, production will be split between Samsung and TSMC, and it seems likely that the Plus variant of the Snapdragon 898 processor will hit the market as early as the second quarter of 2022. Interestingly, Vivo will be one of the first few brands to launch smartphones powered by Snapdragon. 898.
