The conversation application company, Snapchat, decided to delete the Snap Camera application, which is a webcam application that allows the user to appear in front of the other party in the conversation in the form of an animal, a burning skull, or a strange version of himself during video chats.

And the company announced its intention to delete this application, as of January 25, from the two versions of Snapchat for devices running the Windows operating system and the operating system Mac.

The Snap Camera application, which can be used as a default camera in any video conversation, became popular during the emerging Corona virus pandemic, when it was used to add fun to video conversations that were taking place through the Zoom video conferencing application.

The decision to delete the application came after social networking sites were filled with stories of users who were unable to turn off the filters of sarcastic faces while they were engaged in serious conversations about work through the Zoom application, for example.

If you’re a fan of funny face filters on Snapchat, and think your mates won’t recognize you without your fake mustache, green weird face, or devil sunglasses filter, your only option is to use Snapchat video chats or use Zoom’s avatar filters.

And if a user wants to continue using filters from SnapCam on their desktop computer, they will only be able to do so using Snapchat for Web video chats in the future. These filters are called Lenses on Snapchat, and they are also available for video chats on smartphones.

After January 25, users will not be able to download the Snap Camera app from Snapchat, and it will no longer work on the devices it is installed on.
