Thanks to the tenth place in Saturday’s race, the pilot of the ART team started Sunday’s race in Great Britain from the first position. After a quiet start, he kept first place ahead of Beckmann, Clément Novalak, Sebastián Fernández and Alex Peroni.
Smoljar did not lose his leading position even at the restart of the race, which followed after a safety car had to enter the track due to a standing car by Igor Fraga from the Czech Charouz Racing System team.
In the rest of the race, Smoljar already maintained the leading position. However, he changed tracks several laps in a row to prevent Beckmann from using the windsock and catching up with him. After the race, Smoljar will be investigated by the stewards for this.
Novalak finished third ahead of Peroni and Frederik Vesti. The point ten was complemented by Logan Sargeant, who finished the fastest lap of the race, yesterday’s winner Liam Lawson, seventh Théo Pourchaire, ninth Richard Verschoor and tenth Jake Hughes finished seventh.
Roman Staněk had the best result of the season when he moved to the sixteenth position during the race. In the final rounds, however, he was overtaken by his teammate David Schumacher and also Bent Viscaal and Staněk took 18th place.
The race did not succeed at all to the leading man of the standings, Oscar Piastrim, who in the second round dropped to 16th place after a short trip off the track and withdrew from the race after the 11th lap, probably due to problems with the DRS system.

Lawson won for the second time this year, Staněk equalized his seasonal maximum
Liam Lawson scored his second victory of the season in several safety car trips interrupted by the first Formula 3 race at Silverstone, UK. He was accompanied on the podium by Prema team pilots Oscar Piastri and Logan Sargeant.
In yesterday’s qualifying, Sargeant gained his first pole position just ahead of Lawson. The American guarded the lead after the start, but at the end of the first lap, Lawson took the lead with an attack on the outside in the Stowe corner, which he did not let anyone over until the end of the race.
He remained in third place after Piastri’s start ahead of Max Fewtrell. However, the Hitech driver failed after he got behind the curb with the car in the fourth turn and lost several positions.
In the sixth round, Piastri successfully attacked the second Sargeant. Six rounds later, the leader of the standings tried several times to attack leader Lawson, but he defended his position.
The safety car’s trips also helped Lawson maintain his first position. The race was slowed for the first time in lap 12 after an incident that began with a battle between Bent Viscaal and Ben Barnicoat, who replaced Enaam Ahmed on the Carlin team.
Viscaal fought Barnicoat, but after contact he got a puncture, spun, and Jack Doohan, driving behind them, could no longer avoid his car.
After four laps, the race was restarted, but the safety car soon set off again. Max Fewtrell spun Olli Caldwell in the Vale turn, who remained standing in the middle of the track and crashed into his standing monopost Lukas Dunner. All pilots left the incident unharmed.
The race has not been restarted and Lawson has added his second triumph this season after winning the second race at the Red Bull Ring. Piastri finished second ahead of Sargeant, Jake Hughes and Frederik Vesti.
Alex Peroni, Sebastián Fernández, Clément Novalak, who drove the fastest lap, David Beckmann and Alex Smoljar closed the top ten. Thanks to the tenth place, the Russian pilot will start Sunday’s race from pole position.
The only Czech representative in the starting field, Roman Staněk, started the race from the 22nd position. He then finished seventeenth in the finish with his best results so far this year from Saturday’s races of both companies at the Red Bull Ring. Sophia Flörsch finished 22nd, recording her best qualifying result in Formula 3 in 16th place. In the first round, however, she was spun by Denis Hauger from behind and fell out of the standings. Hauger was penalized five seconds for the incident and finished 16th.
