Smelyansky denied his words about postmen with a salary of $ 1,000 and apologized

In early July, Smelyansky stated that among postmen in Ukraine there are those who earn $ 1,000 per month or more thanks to tips, percentages of sales and bonuses.

“With a salary (including premiums) of $ 1 thousand, I was wrong. Postmen’s salary has actually more than doubled with me (from $ 110 to $ 250 + without premiums), but has clearly not yet reached $ 1,000 “, – wrote Smelyanskiy.

According to the general director of Ukrposhti, the best postmen of the company sell goods and services for $ 1 thousand (28 thousand UAH) per month, and do not receive this amount as a salary. Taking into account the premiums, these postmen receive 10-11 thousand UAH per month.

“Therefore, I apologize if such a quote offended someone from the postmen,” Smelyansky added.

At the same time, he noted that the company has other specialties with a salary of up to $ 1,000 and above – drivers, couriers, sorters, “but there was no talk about them in the quote.”

Smelyansky also stressed that the salaries of the postmen of Ukrposhta have grown over the past few years, despite the decline in their work by 15-50%, while the urban operators, on the contrary, have increased the volume of work disproportionately to the salary.

Smelyansky said that thanks to the introduction of mobile offices, digitalization and an increase in the profitability of rural post offices, he intends to really come to the amount of salary he named in an interview.

“Once you made a mistake, we must try to make the $ 1,000 salary from a mistake become a goal for the near future,” he summed up.
