Slovakian under-16 hockey players won their second victory at the Five Nations Tournament in Romanshorn, Switzerland. After Thursday’s triumph over Germany 6:3, they defeated the home team 3:2 on Friday. All three goals were scored in the first period.
The young Slovaks have a record of two wins and one loss at the event so far. They will end their performance on Saturday with a prestigious duel against the Czech Republic. The hockeyslovakia.sk website informed about it.

The Swiss then took a time-out, but we encouraged the boys to continue with the set things. We tried to move the pucks quickly and help each other in the fights. However, the boys started to make mistakes and we were under pressure. Despite this, we scored the third goal. However, the home team then reduced the score and came back into the game.
In the second period, we returned to our plan and both goalkeepers kept their teams. In the final part, we did not prevent weakening, but then we controlled it well and won a valuable victory. Tomorrow we have a difficult match, which will be about setting heads and hearts.
Already against the Swiss, some guys ran out of strength, but the match against the Czech Republic is traditionally associated with great motivation. It is not easy to play four matches in four days, but I am convinced that the guys will give everything and fight for Slovakia.”
