Fireworks sellers will be compensated slightly more this year for the fireworks ban than last year. This was announced by outgoing State Secretary Van Weyenberg of Infrastructure and Water Management.
At the turn of the year, each entrepreneur received an amount of 3,500 euros. Because there is now a ban on the sale of consumer fireworks for the second year in a row and the sector has not been able to prepare for this, that amount will be increased to 4500 euros.
Fixed charges
In addition, just like last year, fireworks sellers can make use of the corona support scheme for fixed costs (TVL), which is wider than a year ago. In addition, there is a specific fee for fireworks sellers of 6 percent on the turnover of 2019, the last year before the pandemic.
Initially, the outgoing cabinet did not seem to opt for a fireworks ban this year. That came after many mayors insisted. The hospitals also pointed out the extra pressure on care from fireworks victims, while the stretch among healthcare staff has already been removed due to corona.
