Slavia have started training, Trpišovský want three reinforcements before the escape to Portugal

The Slavs will complete the first part of January’s training session at home and will retire to Portugal on 10 January. “When we leave, we would like three more players to join us,” Trpišovský told the club’s website.

One of the new signings is expected to be Mladá Boleslav full-back or midfielder David Pech. Sišivani also want striker Mojmír Chytil from Olomouc, but transferring him is a bit complicated. They are also interested in young striker Emmanuel Yeboah from Cluj. There may be someone else in the game. Slavia already lacks offensive sprinter Yira Sor, who moved to Genk.

Trpišovský was pleased that players recovering from injuries also joined the training session. “Petr Ševčík was in full team training, he is absolutely healthy. Ivan Schranz has completed team training, but there are limits in his heading game. It will still be tested, but he is in full training, he needs to time. Aleš Mandous has trained. Honza Bořil has completed his first full training session with the team. There we will have to ask ourselves about the accumulation of the load, what he will be able to complete”, explained the red and white coach.

Attacking all-rounder Mick van Buren, second top scorer in the league with nine goals, and defender or defensive midfielder Maksym Talovjerov are returning to training from Liberec. “Mick played great in Liberec, he’s productive, he was one of the best offensive players in the league. He knows what Slavia means, he showed great progress. Maksym was a regular member of the starting lineup, that’s why he left for Liberec. He played evenly and we had some injured players in defence. The agreement with him since the summer is that he will return to training after six months and then we will see what happens next” Trpišovský underlined. Goalkeeper Jan Stejskal from Slovan also returned to Eden with them.

Young defender Denis Halinský, who visited Vlašim in the autumn, will also have a chance to prove himself in team A. “Denis is an interesting player who we managed to sign in the summer. We already had a recommendation for him a year ago , started playing in the second league at a young age. His typology and style of play could be suitable for Slavia in the future. We’ll see what his path will be like, we want to put him to the test. It’s a question of seeing the demands, can you help him to improve,” said the main Slavic strategist.

So far they lack stopper David Hovorka, who is recovering from a serious knee injury, and defensive all-rounder Tomáš Holeš, whose tendon problems have forced him to undergo surgery. He underwent this at the end of November and is now starting to train.

“We hope he heals quickly and can join the team in February. David Hovorka is also in individual mode. Hopefully, he could join team training in February and play some matches in March. The rest of the team is fine.” informed Trpišovský.

Slavia will enter the spring stage on Sunday 29 January at home against Jablonec.
