Skyscrapers to climb? When does the world’s highest outdoor climbing wall open?

New York. New York offers another attraction for climbers with a head for heights. Because anyone who has always wanted to climb the outside of a super skyscraper can soon fulfill this dream at 30 Hudson Yards in New York. From November 9th, visitors to the skyscraper could climb a small part of the outer wall using steps – at a height of around 390 meters!

They are equipped with ropes, helmets and other protective equipment. According to the operator, “City Climb” is the highest outdoor climbing offer on a building in the world. The thrill is not cheap: Tickets cost the equivalent of around 160 euros. The operators say that people aged 13 and over are allowed to climb.

The skyscraper 30 Hudson Yards

The skyscraper 30 Hudson Yards already houses “The Edge”, the highest viewing platform in the western hemisphere, which allows a panoramic view over Manhattan. The super skyscraper has 90 floors and is the fifth tallest building in the city. With a total height of 395 meters, it even surpasses the structural height of the Empire State Building.
