The Octavia, the most popular and best-selling model in the Skoda range, was until a few years ago one of the most popular import models among Romanian motorists. Things have changed a bit in recent years, however, with sales figures for the Mlada Boleslav-made model declining due to ever higher prices set by the Czech manufacturer.

Skoda Octavia reached its fourth generation in 2019, also celebrating in that year no less than six decades since the start of production. Over the years, the Octavia has built up a strong reputation among drivers in Europe, becoming a fixture in best-selling car charts in many countries. Since its launch until today, Skoda has sold more than seven million of copies of Octavia, a sales figure that speaks volumes.

The cheapest version Skoda Octavia starts in Romania from a price of 25,233 euros, with all taxes included. For this figure we are talking about a 1.5-liter gasoline engine and a six-speed manual gearbox. The engine delivers 150 horsepower and the top speed can reach 222 km/h. The combined consumption specified by the manufacturer is 5.4 – 6.2 liters for a distance of 100 kilometres.

The most expensive the version is the diesel one, equipped with all-wheel drive and a 2.0-liter TDI engine unit, capable of developing 200 horsepower. The maximum speed in this case is 245 km/h, while the combined consumption reaches 5.5 – 6.1 liters for a distance of 100 kilometres.
