Škoda Auto only wants to sell electric cars! What changes are planned?

“Škoda Auto has been cooperating successfully with Etnetera for many years. For example, we have developed applications for the MyŠkoda and Škoda Plus smartphones together. By setting up the Green: Code Joint Undertaking, we are now taking our partnership to the next level. Škoda will use the expertise, speed and quality of Etnetera’s performance. Our goal is to make our products even more user-friendly and our internal processes even more efficient. We are looking forward to being able to further advance the company’s digitalisation goals, “said Klaus Blüm, Head of IT at Škoda.

According to Martin Palička, CEO of Etnetera Group, the joint venture completes almost fifteen years of cooperation on projects that have fundamentally affected the current form of digitization of the brand’s cars. “Our next common ambition will be to combine our agile methods and corporate culture with the corporate environment and to continue to develop software solutions and applications that connect the car and its drivers to a perfect ecosystem of digital tools,” he added.

Green: Code is to be characterized by an agile culture reflected in the technological development and internal settings of the company. The management will be shared by the two founding companies. The executives will be Marian Pavlík from Škoda Auto, who has worked for the Volkswagen Group for more than 20 years in leading IT positions, and one of the founders of Etnetera Group, Václav Bittner.

Etnetera Group includes Etnetera, Etnetera Motion, Etnetera Activate and Etnetera Sense. Designs and develops web and mobile solutions for customer communication and e-commerce, data and web analytics, and marketing automation. Its turnover in fiscal year 2020/21 before consolidation amounted to 370 million crowns.

Škoda Auto currently produces ten model lines. With a production of around one million cars a year, the company wants to be one of the five best-selling brands in Europe by 2030 through attractive offers in the entry segments and other models with electric drive.
