The infant could not be revived after being hospitalized last weekend. He died of coronavirus in this east coast state the United States, bordering New York State. “The tests confirmed […] that the baby was Covid-19 positive. Said the governor before using the phrase “it breaks your heart” twice.
Illinois authorities announced on Saturday the death in Chicago of a nine-month-old child, the youngest person known to have died of the virus in the United States.
The disease, which has already killed more than 4,500 people in the United States and more than 46,000 worldwide, according to Johns-Hopkins University figures which refer, is deemed to relatively save children, and very young victims are rare.
