Six months after its peak, where is the Paris Bourse?

Go back six months, on February 19, 2020 precisely, a time when the Covid-19 had not yet reached the stage of a global pandemic and where the total containment of the French population was far from being considered. That Wednesday, the Paris Bourse reached records: 6,111.41 points precisely, its highest level in twelve years. The fall did not wait long to arrive since in mid-March, the flagship Parisian index fell below 3,800 points (-38.7%). He has since caught up halfway finishing at 4,962.93 points on Friday August 14.

How was the financial catastrophe avoided?

Like Icarus flying too close to the sun, the Parisian coast is quickly caught up after its highest by fears related to the pandemic, falling sharply in the following days. The movement accelerated at the beginning of March: the ACC recorded the worst session in its history on March 12 (-12.28%), and in the aftermath its worst week for twelve years (-19.86%). The index hit a low of 3,747.84 points on March 18.
