Matthias Ginter announced yesterday on Instagram that he will not renew his contract with Gladbach, which expires at the end of the season.

According to Bild, Ginter is far from the only Gladbach player heading out of Borussia-Park, and Keanan Bennetts, Hannes Wolf, Marcus Thuram, Denis Zakaria, Alassane Pléa and Laszlo Benes are also likely to leave.

Bennetts and Wolf are no longer part of Gladbach coach Adi Hütter’s plans, according to the German tabloid, which claims the latter has piqued the interest of Trabzonspor, Celtic and Rapid Wien.

Thuram has also been put up for sale and could be released in January. An injury ruined the French forward’s € 37m transfer to Inter last summer, but Gladbach is now unable to demand similar compensation after a slump in form.

Like Ginter, Zakaria only has six months left on his current contract and does not want to sign an extension. For example, Gladbach could cash in on it in January, with Borussia Dortmund, Juventus and AS Roma interested.

Pléa and Bénes can leave if suitable offers are made, says Bild.
