Epidemiological report:

According to information provided by the Ministry of Public Health (MSP), today 7,688 analyzes were carried out and 164 new cases of Coronavirus COVID-19 were detected.

Of the 164 new cases, 73 from Montevideo, 21 from Canelones, 9 from Maldonado, 9 from Rivera, 8 from Colonia, 8 from San José, 6 from Paysandú, 6 from Salto, 5 from Artigas, 4 from Cerro Largo, 3 from Durazno, 3 from Soriano, 3 from Treinta y Tres, 2 from Florida, 2 from Río Negro, 1 from Rocha and 1 from Tacuarembó.

Since the health emergency was declared on March 13, 2020, 3,020,925 tests have been processed and 380,584 positive cases of Coronavirus have been registered throughout the national territory. Of that total, 372,181 have already been recovered.

Today, 5 deaths with a diagnosis of SARS-CoV-2 were confirmed in our country (a detailed table is attached). So far, there are 5,936 deaths diagnosed with COVID-19 in Uruguay.

There are currently 2,467 active cases, that is, people who are suffering from the disease, 81 of them are in critical care centers.

Of the total of confirmed positive cases, 8,874 correspond to health personnel. 8,798 of them have already recovered, 48 are suffering from the disease and 28 have died.

To date, Flores does not register active cases, so there are 18 departments with people suffering from the disease.

CLARIFICATION:

The total of confirmed positive cases until yesterday was 380,431. Today 164 new cases and a total of 380,584 confirmed positive cases are reported. The difference is explained because, according to the MSP, 11 cases were eliminated.
