Situation report on coronavirus COVID-19 in Uruguay (06/25/2021)

Epidemiological report:

According to information provided by the Ministry of Public Health (MSP), 15,058 analyzes were carried out today and 1,614 new cases of Coronavirus COVID-19 were detected.

Of the 1,614 new cases, 711 are from Montevideo, 234 from Canelones, 149 from Maldonado, 83 from Paysandú, 68 from Colonia, 56 from Salto, 46 ​​from San José, 40 from Soriano, 38 from Cerro Largo, 38 from Rocha, 29 de Artigas, 29 from Tacuarembó, 20 from Río Negro, 17 from Lavalleja, 16 from Rivera, 15 from Treinta y Tres, 12 from Florida, 8 from Durazno, and 5 from Flores.

Since the health emergency was declared on March 13, 2020, 2,742,723 tests have been processed and 363,580 positive cases of Coronavirus have been registered throughout the national territory. Of that total 337,748 have already been recovered.

Today 34 deaths with a diagnosis of SARS-CoV-2 were confirmed in our country (table with detail is attached). So far, there are 5,447 deaths diagnosed with COVID-19 in Uruguay.

There are currently 20,385 active cases, that is, people who are suffering from the disease, 344 of them are in critical care centers.

Of the total of confirmed positive cases, 8,506 correspond to health personnel. 8,260 of them have already recovered, 218 are suffering from the disease and 28 have died.

As of today, the 19 departments have active cases.

CLARIFICATION:

The total confirmed positive cases as of yesterday was 361,994. Today 1,614 new cases and a total of 363,580 confirmed positive cases are reported. The difference is explained because, according to the MSP, 28 cases were eliminated.
