Situation report on coronavirus COVID-19 in Uruguay (06/19/2021)

Epidemiological report:

According to the information provided by the Ministry of Public Health (MSP), 17,328 analyzes were carried out today and 2,012 new cases of Coronavirus COVID-19 were detected.

Of the 2,012 new cases, 982 are from Montevideo, 278 from Canelones, 124 from Maldonado, 109 from Paysandú, 61 from Colonia, 61 from San José, 55 from Tacuarembó, 48 from Artigas, 44 from Cerro Largo, 44 ​​from Soriano, 41 from Salto, 32 from Lavalleja, 27 from Río Negro, 24 from Rivera, 21 from Rocha, 20 from Florida, 15 from Flores, 15 from Treinta y Tres and 11 from Durazno.

Since the health emergency was declared on March 13, 2020, 2,652,635 tests have been processed and 353,377 positive cases of Coronavirus have been registered throughout the national territory. Of that total, 320,347 have already been recovered.

Today 34 deaths with a diagnosis of SARS-CoV-2 were confirmed in our country (table with detail is attached). So far, there are 5,241 deaths diagnosed with COVID-19 in Uruguay.

There are currently 27,789 active cases, that is, people who are suffering from the disease, 397 of them are in critical care centers.

Of the total of confirmed positive cases, 8,365 correspond to health personnel. 8,064 of them have already recovered, 274 are suffering from the disease and 27 have died.

As of today, the 19 departments have active cases.

CLARIFICATION:

The total of confirmed positive cases until yesterday was 351,378. Today 2,012 new cases and a total of 353,377 confirmed positive cases are reported. The difference is explained because, according to the MSP, 13 cases were eliminated.
