Epidemiological report:
According to the information provided by the Ministry of Public Health (MSP), 17,608 analyzes were carried out today and 4,604 new cases of Coronavirus COVID-19 were detected.
Of the 4,604 new cases, 1,965 are from Montevideo, 658 from Canelones, 358 from Salto, 253 from Maldonado, 204 from Colonia, 183 from Paysandú, 156 from San José, 139 from Tacuarembó, 138 from Florida, 115 from Artigas, 91 from Soriano, 71 from Río Negro, 53 from Lavalleja, 53 from Rivera, 46 from Durazno, 43 from Cerro Largo, 26 from Flores, 26 from Rocha and 26 from Treinta y Tres.
Since the health emergency was declared on March 13, 2020, 2,083,471 tests have been processed and 258,540 positive cases of Coronavirus have been registered throughout the national territory. Of that total, 222,003 have already been recovered.
Today, 69 deaths with a diagnosis of SARS-CoV-2 were confirmed in our country (a detailed table is attached). So far, there are 3,760 deaths diagnosed with COVID-19 in Uruguay.
There are currently 32,777 active cases, that is, people who are suffering from the disease, 498 of them are in critical care centers.
Of the total of confirmed positive cases, 7,391 correspond to health personnel. 6,997 of them have already recovered, 375 are suffering from the disease and 19 have died.
As of today, the 19 departments have active cases.
CLARIFICATION:
The total of confirmed positive cases until yesterday was 253,941. Today 4,604 new cases and a total of 258,540 confirmed positive cases are reported. The difference is explained because, according to the MSP, 5 cases were eliminated.
