Epidemiological report:
According to the information provided by the Ministry of Public Health (MSP), today 11,184 analyzes were carried out and 2,399 new cases of Coronavirus COVID-19 were detected.
Of the 2,399 new cases, 1,161 are from Montevideo, 268 from Canelones, 157 from Salto, 122 from Maldonado, 110 from San José, 81 from Colonia, 72 from Paysandú, 64 from Soriano, 57 from Rivera, 48 from Durazno, 45 from Artigas, 40 from Treinta y Tres, 37 from Río Negro, 37 from Tacuarembó, 31 from Lavalleja, 29 from Cerro Largo, 17 from Florida, 13 from Rocha and 10 from Flores.
Since the health emergency was declared on March 13, 2020, 2,016,365 tests have been processed and 242,906 positive cases of Coronavirus have been registered throughout the national territory. Of that total, 212,051 have already been recovered.
Today, 62 deaths with a diagnosis of SARS-CoV-2 were confirmed in our country (table with detail is attached). So far there are 3,521 deaths diagnosed with COVID-19 in Uruguay.
Currently there are 27,334 active cases, that is, people who are suffering from the disease, 495 of them are in critical care centers.
Of the total of confirmed positive cases, 7,207 correspond to health personnel. 6,863 of them have already recovered, 325 are suffering from the disease and 19 have died.
As of today, the 19 departments have active cases.
CLARIFICATION:
The total of confirmed positive cases until yesterday was 240,512. Today 2,399 new cases and a total of 242,906 confirmed positive cases are reported. The difference is explained because, according to the MSP, 5 cases were eliminated.
