Situation report on coronavirus COVID-19 in Uruguay (04/25/2021)

Epidemiological report:

According to the information provided by the Ministry of Public Health (MSP), 13,912 analyzes were carried out today and 2,549 new cases of Coronavirus COVID-19 were detected.

Of the 2,549 new cases, 1,175 are from Montevideo, 403 from Canelones, 115 from Cerro Largo, 107 from Maldonado, 97 from Tacuarembó, 80 from Florida, 69 from San José, 65 from Río Negro, 65 from Soriano, 62 from Colonia, 60 from Rivera, 56 from Artigas, 55 from Paysandú, 52 from Salto, 23 from Treinta y Tres, 20 from Durazno, 20 from Lavalleja, 16 from Rocha and 9 from Flores.

Since the health emergency was declared on March 13, 1,734,515 tests have been processed and 184,865 positive cases of Coronavirus have been registered throughout the national territory. Of that total, 154,489 have already been recovered.

Today 43 deaths with a diagnosis of SARS-CoV-2 were confirmed in our country (table with detail is attached). So far there are 2,326 deaths diagnosed with COVID-19 in Uruguay.

There are currently 28,050 active cases, that is, people who are suffering from the disease, 531 of them are in critical care centers.

Of the total confirmed positive cases, 6,457 correspond to health personnel. 6,042 of them have already recovered, 401 are suffering from the disease and 14 have died.

As of today, the 19 departments have active cases.

CLARIFICATION:

The total of confirmed positive cases until yesterday was 182,326. Today 2,549 new cases and a total of 184,865 confirmed positive cases are reported. The difference is explained because, according to the MSP, 10 cases were eliminated.
