Epidemiological report:

According to the information provided by the Ministry of Public Health (MSP), today 9,835 analyzes were carried out and 916 new cases of Coronavirus COVID-19 were detected. Of the 916 new cases, 461 are from Montevideo, 80 from Canelones, 80 from Rivera, 68 from Tacuarembó, 34 from Paysandú, 33 from San José, 28 from Río Negro, 27 from Salto, 20 from Artigas, 20 from Cerro Largo, 19 from Maldonado, 12 from Treinta y Tres, 11 from Florida, 9 from Soriano, 6 from Colonia, 3 from Durazno, 2 from Lavalleja, 2 from Rocha and 1 from Flores. In all cases, strict epidemiological monitoring is carried out.

Since the health emergency was declared on March 13, 1,160,950 have been processed and 73,770 positive cases of Coronavirus have been registered throughout the national territory. Of that total, 62,584 have already been recovered.

Today 8 deaths with a diagnosis of SARS-CoV-2 were confirmed in our country. This is 1 patient from 1 patient from Canelones, 88 years old, 1 patient from Lavalleja, 59 years old, 1 patient from Rocha, 73 years old, 1 patient from San José, 86 years old, and 4 patients from Montevideo 71, 78, 82 and 84 years. So far there are 725 deaths diagnosed with COVID-19 in Uruguay.

There are currently 10,461 active cases, that is, people who are suffering from the disease, 135 of them are in intensive care.

Of the total confirmed positive cases, 3,870 correspond to health personnel. 3,449 of them have already recovered, 414 are suffering from the disease and 7 have died.

As of today, the 19 departments have active cases.

CLARIFICATION:
The total of confirmed positive cases until yesterday was 72,862. Today 916 new cases and a total of 73,770 confirmed positive cases are reported. The difference is explained because 8 cases were eliminated.
