It all started with a quarrel between his sisters and their parents.
A man has shared the shocking story of how his sisters made his parents believe he had been dead for six months.
Callum shared this on the New Zealand show ZM Radio, reports Mirror.
He called in a segment that asked listeners if they had ever been considered dead.
The man began: “Yes, I was definitely thought to be dead. My sisters were at odds with my parents at the time and they didn’t get along very well. I was living in Wellington while they were in Christchurch. My older sister called my parents and told them that I died”.

Callum said his sisters also told their mum and dad that his ex-girlfriend’s parents didn’t want them to attend his funeral. Asked why his parents simply accepted the news of his death, he replied: “It was like they were running around calling our other relatives to see if they had heard anything from what they told me. Then they really didn’t say anything.” knew. So my parents just assumed, “Yeah, he’s dead.”
Callum was also questioned about how the deception could continue for six months, to which he admitted: “I was just busy with life and work and then I thought, wait – I haven’t heard from my parents in a while. I wonder what’s going on? I called. him, and my mom and dad were like, ‘Are you alive?’ My mom was in tears and my dad was just stunned—he was like, “What the hell is going on?”
Callum then added that his sister told his parents he had been stabbed to death. “Wait, wait, wait, were you killed?” – asked one of the radio hosts. “You didn’t die in an accident, someone killed you! This is the wildest phone call we’ve ever had. Were you the kind of person who would get stabbed to death?”

To which Callum comically replied: “I haven’t been in some gangs, but I will say that at that point it wasn’t unusual for me to be stabbed.” He concluded by saying his mum and dad were “over the moon” to find out he was indeed alive and that he rushed home that weekend to reassure them it was really him.
The man also confirmed that he and his parents no longer communicate with his sisters.
