The Crimean Hydrometeorological Center reported a heavy downpour that hit Simferopol on Saturday. According to the weather station of Simferopol airport, 48 millimeters of precipitation fell per day. Heavy rain also passed in the Belogorsk region.
Local residents are posting videos of flooded streets in various parts of the city on social networks. On some streets, cars literally floated because of the rising water level.
There was a washout and a descent of soil on the Pochtovoe-Chistonkoye stretch. Because of this, the communication of electric trains between Simferopol and Sevastopol was interrupted. Currently, the movement of electric trains has been restored.
At the same time, on Sunday, May 30, forecasters again announced a storm warning in Simferopol. Heavy showers, thunderstorms, large hail, winds up to 20-25 meters per second are expected in some places.
