Silence we play! “Deathloop”, “12 Minutes”, “The Forgotten City” and “Quake” – Release

This week, for the launch of the fifteenth season of the podcast, we get caught in time loops each more devious than the other. Stand up campers and hold up your hearts, don’t forget your boots because it’s curdling today.

Silence we play! It’s Liberation’s weekly video game show. With Erwan Cario and its columnists, Patrick Hellio, Julie le baron and Marius Chapuis.

This week, for the first show of the season, a theme emerged: time loops. We start with that of the highly anticipated thriller by Luis Antonio 12 Minutes, and its suffocating camera a little spoiled by its outcome. We continue with that, more ancient, of The Forgotten City, where the rescue of a lost city blends wonderfully with great Socratic reflections on the universality of morality. We finish with that of the blockbuster (loopbuster?) Deathloop from the French studio Arkane Lyon, which has put all its know-how into a cyclical shooter of unexpected depth. And then, as long as we do, we take the opportunity to come back to 1996 and marvel once again in front of the legendary Quake on the occasion of remaster released this summer.

Jérémie Kletzkine, in his column board games, tells us about botany.
