Bayern Munich embracing the title European Super Cup after conquering the champions Europa League, Sevilla. Champion Champions League it narrowly won 2-1 in extra round.
In a match that was held at Puskas Arena, Hungary, Friday (9/25/2020) in the morning WIB, Sevilla scored a goal in the 13th minute. Lucas Ocampos broke into Die Roten’s net by executing a penalty kick.
Bayern retaliated behind in the 34th minute, after Leon Goretzka managed to tear Sevilla’s goal through his kick ball. The first half ended with the score 1-1.
Entering the second half, Bayern scored the second goal in the 50th minute by Robert Lewandowski. However, the referee disallowed the goal after the Video Assistant Referee (VAR) assessed that there was an offside violation before the goal occurred.
Bayern broke into the Sevilla goal in the 63rd minute via Leroy Sane’s shot. Die Roten’s goal was disallowed again because Lewandowski was deemed to have committed a foul first.
Until 90 minutes of the match ended, the score 1-1 for the two teams still did not change. The match continues to an additional round.
In the first half of the extra half, Bayern scored their second goal through a header from substitute Javi Martinez. Hansi Flick’s squad turned 2-1 ahead.
Sevilla tried to equalize in the remaining time. However, the 2-1 position for Bayern did not change until the match was complete.
Bayern are also entitled to the 2020 European Super Cup trophy. This is Die Roten’s second title at the same event, since they last won it in 2013.
