In the latest issue of the Power On newsletter, Bloomberg’s Mark Gurman notes that the next major version of watchOS, likely called watchOS 10, will feature major changes, including a notable update to the user interface.

watchOS 10 will be officially unveiled at WWDC in June. The release of the latest operating system is expected to coincide with the launch of Apple’s first headset. The design of watchOS hasn’t changed much in recent years. The latest versions over the past few years have been updated with features like activity tracking and some new watch faces.

Mark Gurman believes that this year will be different, which is exciting news for Apple Watch users. Mark Gurman said that the new watchOS should be a fairly extensive upgrade, with significant changes to the user interface.

Mark Gurman previously said that more major updates to Apple Watch hardware are expected next year, including the first Apple Watch with a micro-LED display.
