The situation becomes worrying for residents and staff of the CHSLD René-Lévesque in Longueuil when 25 people have been killed by the virus, according to TVA Nouvelles.
The facility has 224 residents and the outbreak has had a huge impact on the number of positive cases.
As of Sunday, May 3, 90 residents have been infected with the virus.
This is a sharp increase compared to two weeks ago when about fifteen cases were identified.
The CISSS de la Montérégie-Est would also have been forced to send reinforcements because the personnel are also going through a period of exhaustion.
