Hamada Sidqi, the new coach of Smouha Club, who left his post at Al Hilal, confirmed that Al-Ahly had nothing to do with his departure from the Sudanese team.
Sidqi said in statements via Sada Al Balad, that Al Hilal Club suffers from several problems, noting that he informed the management of it without taking any action on its part.
The Al-Hilal club had published a statement in which he described the departure of Hamada Sidqi from the team as an “escape”, due to the Al-Ahly club’s status in the African Champions League groups. (See here)
The new Smouha coach said: “Al-Hilal Club suffers from many problems. I remember in one of the exercises after confronting the first coastal star, only five players were present in the training.”
He continued: “This came because of the desire of the players to obtain a negative rest, and at that time I informed the club management, and again, the players wanted a nine-day rest, to be trained just four days before a match.”
He added: “I have ambition and desire to win with any team that I train, and that will not happen with Al Hilal, and his management and his fans know how many problems surrounding the team.”
He explained: “Now is a period of rest between the first and second rounds in Sudan, and my presence in Egypt after the end of each match is normal for club officials.”
And he added: “There are a lot of things that the Hilal administration was informed about that do not suit me, and when I spoke with the club president after facing the second star, he replied and said to me -” What are you going to mean? “
He concluded, “If my departure from Al Hilal was for Al Ahly, then I would continue with the team and allow the Egyptian team to win. Talking about such matters is illogical.”
