This is a notable transaction in the world of football. Side Invest, a new investment company intended to support the entertainment industry in Hauts-de-France, signs its first operation by investing in the Racing Club de Lens.
The company is putting up a ticket of €20 million, half of which is in equity and the other in convertible bonds, in order to ultimately get its hands on 13% of the capital of the football club. RC Lens, which had been looking for a minority shareholder for several years, was valued at nearly €155 million during this transaction.
