In this elementary school, there have been no class closings yet. “We’re doing pretty well. Our colleagues around have all closed classes, there have been quite a few positive cases ”, specifies the director. “In Voltaire there were cases of contact but outside by family or sports clubs, etc. But that did not flare up in the classes. Each time the parents have played the game well and kept their children isolated. ”
Preserve the holidays, yes. But parents will have to organize themselves if the school holidays are advanced. “It will be complicated for the parents”, adds the school principal.

As for the parents of students, the 2 days of closure would be received rather lukewarm. “Si we think of the holidays and so that we can spend them with the family, yes, two days that leaves time to be tested “, explains Myriam Zecchini, parent of a PEEP student. “But this will pose problems for working parents and will be blocked because they cannot take time off or telecommute ”, adds Myriam Zecchini.
Finding a childcare solution will prove difficult for some parents, and if the break is longer than two days, families will once again have to organize for work at home. “This poses a problem because it is necessary to equip oneself at the IT level. It is not our job to be a teacher, even if we can make ourselves available and we are of good will ”.
Children once again impacted if classes had to close early. “They have already missed school days and this has an impact on their education.”, Concludes the representative of PEEP.
Government announcements are therefore eagerly awaited by parents and schools in the region.
