President Joe Biden is pleased with the murder sentence against three white men who killed black Ahmaud Arbery, but says the United States has a long way to go before equality before the law.
Arbery was killed while on a jog, and the jury in Georgia came with its ruling on Wednesday.

– The murder of Ahmaud Arbery – which the world witnessed through video – is a terrible reminder of how far we must go in the fight for racial justice in this country, Biden says in a statement.
– Even though the ruling shows that our judiciary is doing its job, that alone is not enough.
“My administration will continue the hard work of ensuring that equality before the law is not just a phrase adorned with stones over the Supreme Court, but a reality for all Americans,” Biden said.
