The number of positive COVID-19 infections in Suriname increased by more than 70 cases on Saturday 27 June. This is evident from figures from the official COVID-19 website. The counter on the site was updated no less than three times on Saturday.
The counter ended on Thursday at 391 total. Earlier on Saturday, the counter updated with 1 dead, bringing the number of deaths to 11. Then 18 new infections were also added. After that there was soon another update with 24 new cases.
And in the evening, the counter rose again by 34, bringing the total number of new infections to 76 today.
