Shin Tae Yong swear allegiance together Indonesian National team ahead of the second leg final AFF Cup 2020 (AFF Cup 2021).
In a press conference ahead of the second leg of the AFF Cup final, Friday (12/31), the South Korean architect emphasized that he would fulfill the hopes of Indonesian fans to remain the coach of the Indonesian national team.
Shin Tae Yong also said that he would not resign as coach of the Indonesian national team despite failing to win the 2020 AFF Cup.
“It’s simple, I will answer that I already have a contract with the federation (PSSI) until December 31, 2023. Fans may not know,” said Shin Tae Yong when asked for a response regarding the hopes of fans who wanted him to stay as coach of the Indonesian national team.
“But there’s no need to worry because I won’t resign either, because I could also be fined. Now Indonesia is just starting (developing) so I believe Indonesian football can move forward. Fans don’t worry and ask for your full support, and thank you , said Shin Tae Yong added.
The Indonesian national team will play a crucial match against Thailand in the final second leg of the AFF Cup which will take place at the national stadium, Singapore, Saturday (1/1) night WIB.
In this match, Indonesia is required to win by a margin of five goals to pay for the 0-4 defeat to Thailand in the first leg final.
Or, Evan Dimas and his friends must be able to win by a margin of four goals to force Thailand to play extra time.
