A war of words ensued Hang Seo Park to Shin Tae-yong. Park replied to Shin that he mentioned Indonesia level Vietnam. She wanted those words to be proven.
Indonesia vs Vietnam will be presented at My Dynh Stadium in the second leg of AFF Cup 2022 on Monday (9/1/2022). In the first leg at Gelora Bung Karno Stadium, the match ended in a 0-0 draw.
The duel in the second leg should be fierce because both Indonesia and Vietnam need a victory. The heated rivalry between the two coaches of South Korea between Shin Tae Yong on the Indonesian side and Park Hang-seo who coached Vietnam also added flavor to this fight. A war of words was already present between the two coaches ahead of the duel in My Dinh.
Shin wasn’t afraid of Vietnam at all. Albeit in a record bout, Shin never beat The Golden Stars with Indonesia. He confidently stated that Indonesia is on the same level as Vietnam.
Park responded to Shin’s words. He felt Shin should focus on the match and he didn’t need to say so. Park challenges Shin to prove his words in the fight afterward.
“As head coach, you have to be responsible for the results of the team. The coach also has to show it with the results of the match, not say it,” Park said as quoted by Zing News.
“I’m not used to judging coaches and other teams. It’s true that the Indonesian team is stronger now. If we win, your team’s coach should stop saying that,” he explained.
The duel will later become the culmination of the rivalry between Park and Shin. The reason is that after the 2022 AFF Cup, Park will definitely leave the post of coach of Vietnam.
