In Flachau, either Petra Vlhova or Mikaela Shiffrin wins – this law, which has been in force since 2018, will not change in 2024. In her 20th World Cup race this season, Michelle Gisin once again managed to switch from the speed disciplines to the shorter slalom skis very well. On Sunday, Gisin finished 5th in the Super-G in Zauchensee. Starting the race in 6th place after the 1st run, she continued to push forward despite a mishap after the 3rd intermediate time. Gisin temporarily lost a stick, but got it back and set a new best time. She ultimately missed the podium by just 27 hundredths.
Camille Rast also confirmed her recent good form. As in Kranjska Gora (4th), she improved in the second round. Thanks to the third-best running time, she moved up from 11th position to 6th place. For the second time in a row, the Valaisian managed to make it into the top 10. In 12th place, a third Swiss woman, Mélanie Meillard, made it into the top 15. There were also points for Elena Stoffel and Nicole Good.

Alongside winner Shiffrin, Lara Colturi wrote the story of the evening. The 17-year-old Italian, who competes for Albania, achieved an excellent 9th place with start number 60. She started the second run in 26th place, and in the final round she was the fastest and took 23 hundredths off Shiffrin.

The technicians will be challenged again this weekend. In Jasna, Slovakia, Vlhova competes in front of a home crowd. The program includes a giant slalom on Saturday and a slalom on Sunday.
