SAN DIEGO – Seven candidates are vying to fill the San Diego County Sheriff’s seat after Bill Gore retires in early 2022.
The sheriff is responsible for the county’s courts, jails, 4,600 employees, a billion-dollar budget, and public safety for nearly a million residents.
