Shell looks at sustainable projects in France with €4 billion in its pocket | Financial

According to Van Beurden, Shell is looking at possible investments in French offshore wind farms, charging stations for electric cars and the production of hydrogen and biofuel for aircraft. France is one of the most important countries for investment in the energy transition, Van Beurden told Le Figaro.

New projects

French President Emmanuel Macron announced on Monday a series of new projects in which investments are being made to focus the country more on sustainable energy. These projects also include the construction of the world’s largest waste plastic recycling plant in France. The American chemical group Eastman Chemical is allocating 875 million euros for this.
