Al-Marsad Newspaper: Senior Scholars Council member Sheikh Saad Al-Shathri responded to a husband’s question: ‘My wife was divorced at the first divorce…then after three weeks while she was in her waiting period , she gave the second divorce. Does the second divorce count?”
And he said during his speech with the channel “Saudi Arabia”: “Scholars have unanimously agreed that the second divorce, which occurred during the waiting period before the end of the waiting period, should be counted, and this is well known among the schools of thought of the four imams.
And he continued: “There is a group of scholars who have argued that the second divorce does not count.” He invited the questioner to review the fatwa authorities to consider this issue and hear from him and his wife, to answer according to his question.
