Rosaria Restivo is gone. The first female doctor from Canicattì passed away yesterday at the age of 96. The Canicattinese, according to what was made known by today’s edition of Sicily, was the oldest woman of the medical order of the province of Agrigento. It was also called 1971 by General Carlo Alberto Dalla Chiesa and was the godmother on the occasion of the inauguration of the new carabinieri barracks.
Rosaria Restivo has held the position of doctor of the municipalities of Canicattì and Camastra for decades. A reference point for the Agrigento area, he also held the role of director of the basic medicine service of the old Usl of Canicattì and of numerous pediatric clinics. The woman’s funeral took place yesterday.
