Sharon Stone Claims Late Producer Robert Evans Suggested She Sleep with Billy Baldwin to ‘Save the Movie’: Billy Baldwin Fires Back

Billy Baldwin Reacts to Sharon Stone’s Claims about Late Producer Robert Evans

Billy Baldwin has expressed outrage in response to recent revelations made by Sharon Stone, his co-star in the film Sliver. In her memoir The Beauty of Living Twice, Stone mentioned an incident in which the film’s late producer, Robert Evans, had suggested she sleep with Baldwin to “save the movie”.

During a recent episode of The Louis Theroux Podcast, Stone openly disclosed that Evans, the former chief of Paramount Pictures who passed away in 2019, made the proposition. She vividly recounted Evans mentioning his past affair with Ava Gardner and insisting that Stone’s on-screen chemistry with Baldwin would improve if they slept together.

Sharon Stone’s remarks about the producer garnered significant attention. Subsequently, 61-year-old Billy Baldwin, the younger brother of Alec Baldwin, took to social media to express his reaction. Baldwin questioned why Stone had continued discussing him after all these years, pondering whether she still had a crush on him or if she was still hurt by his rejection of her advances. He alluded to having damaging information about Stone, claiming that if he had disclosed it, it would have greatly unsettled her. Additionally, Baldwin revealed that he had asked Evans to allow him to choreograph the final sex scene in the film so that he wouldn’t have to kiss Stone.

Although Baldwin’s Twitter remarks generated speculation, it casts a shadow on the incident and raises concerns about the professional conduct within the industry. Baldwin even threatened to write a book divulging numerous “disturbing, kinky, and unprofessional” tales about Stone.

Sharon Stone and Billy Baldwin starred together in the 1993 mystery thriller Sliver, where Stone played the role of Carly, a successful book editor who moved into a luxurious apartment and discovered that multiple female tenants had been murdered. The prime suspect was Baldwin’s character, and a romantic connection between the two ensued.

Sharon Stone, an active advocate in Hollywood’s #MeToo movement, has been outspoken about her own experiences in the industry in her memoir. However, Stone had consciously chosen not to reveal the names of individuals involved because, as she stated, “it’s a pointless exercise, they know who they are”.
