Shareholders will receive 3.6 billion crowns from Moneta’s profit of 4.1 billion crowns last year

From last year’s profit Moneta Money Bank will make a dividend of seven crowns per share. This was approved today by the Bank’s General Meeting, which also approved the financial statements and the report on the remuneration of the Bank’s Board of Directors and Supervisory Board.

“The shareholders who will be registered as Moneta Money Bank shareholders in the Central Securities Depository on the record date of May 2, 2022 will be entitled to the dividend. The dividend will be paid to shareholders cashless on May 25, 2022,” the bank said in a press release.

3.6 billion crowns will be distributed among shareholders, from last year’s net profit of about 4.1 billion.

According to the information on web Monety has the largest stake in the bank, Tanemo of the PPF Group, at 29.94 percent. It is followed by Raiffeisen Bank International with 6.77 percent and Chase Nominees Limited with 4.13 percent.

The common dividend for the previous years 2019 and 2020, which was approved by shareholders at the end of last year, amounted to three crowns per share and a total of 1.53 billion crowns. The Czech National Bank limited the payment of dividends from profits in 2019 and 2020 as part of measures to combat the effects of the coronavirus crisis.

According to previous information, Moneta Money Bank increased its net profit by about half year-on-year last year. According to the bank, higher net interest income, stable operating costs and lower risk costs contributed to this. “The outlook for 2022 is optimistic. This year, we are aiming for a minimum net profit of CZK 4.4 billion, “said Moneta CEO Tomáš Spurný in February.

Today’s General Meeting was attended by shareholders holding over 60 percent of the shares with the right to vote. According to the bank, the general meeting thus had a quorum. In addition to the distribution of profits, the shareholders also approved the consolidated and separate financial statements for 2021 and the proposal for the bank’s auditor for this year, which will be Deloitte.

Moneta Money Bank is one of the largest companies traded on the Prague Stock Exchange. Last December, the bank’s shareholders approved the merger of Moneta with the banking part of the PPF Group, which will create the third largest bank on the Czech market after Česká spořitelna and ČSOB, according to the number of clients.
